Emmanuel Macron and @POTUS engaged in several discussions

Last evening, Emmanuel Macron and President of the United States of America engaged in several discussions.

Together with our Nordic and British allies earlier today, I commend his resolute call for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire. It is imperative that we all pursue this goal without hesitation, deceit, or delay. Nearly two months ago, Ukraine expressed its endorsement of such a ceasefire. I now expect Russia to reciprocate. Should this not occur, we stand ready to respond decisively, in close collaboration with the United States and in unity with all European nations.

Let us collaborate to ensure the prompt end of hostilities, the safeguarding of civilians, and the secure delivery of humanitarian assistance. The global community is observing, and history will evaluate our decisions. We owe it to the citizens of Ukraine, and to ourselves, to capitalize on this chance for peace and stability.
