Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple individuals suffering from stab wounds. Tragically, one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Shortly thereafter, a third stabbing victim arrived at the hospital, with authorities still investigating whether this individual is connected to the earlier incident.

Before police arrived, numerous witnesses and suspects fled the scene on foot, leading to several foot chases involving officers and the Calgary Police Service Canine Unit. Four individuals have been taken into custody as authorities assess their involvement in the incident. Police believe that several witnesses may have filmed the altercation on their cellphones. They have interviewed over a dozen witnesses, noting that one potential witness departed the area in a dark-colored Tesla; however, they do not consider this person to have been involved in the altercation.
"Our investigators are diligently working to reconstruct the events that led to this tragic incident," stated Staff Sgt. Sean Gregson of the CPS Homicide Unit in a media release issued on Saturday afternoon.

"It appears that this was an alcohol-fueled fight that ultimately resulted in one man's death. We are dedicated to providing answers to the victim's family and urge anyone with information to come forward." An autopsy is scheduled to take place on April 29, conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Anyone with information regarding the incident, especially witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators, is urged to contact police at 403-266-1234.
