The investigation, which began in April 2024, aimed to identify and apprehend those suspected of distributing drugs in Drumheller and its neighboring communities. This initiative involved collaboration with various specialized units, including the Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Unit, Red Deer's Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team, and the Strathmore general investigative section, successfully disrupting the local criminal network. Authorities confiscated significant amounts of cocaine, psilocybin, LSD, firearms, cash, and other drug-related paraphernalia. The three arrested individuals, comprising two residents of Drumheller and one from Starland County, are facing charges related to drug trafficking. They have been released from custody with a promise to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on April 11.
