The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano State Command, secured the conviction   of twenty-two  drug   sellers  withinside the  nation  in July 2024.
The Commander of the NDLEA in Kano, Mr Abubakar Idris-Ahmad, disclosed this   whilst  briefing newsmen on Thursday in Kano.

He   stated  the conviction   changed into  a first-rate  victory   withinside the  agency's   combat  in opposition to  illicit drug trafficking and abuse.

"Out of the 22 drug   sellers  convicted, one Abubakar Mu'azu arrest   changed into  marked   via way of means of  a   risky  altercation that   noticed  an NDLEA officer being stabbed   via way of means of  him.

"Mu'azu   changed into  charged to   courtroom docket  and   changed into  sentenced   to a few  years in a correctional center,   whilst  the opposite  convicts   had been  sentenced to   numerous  phrases  of imprisonment.
