This operation was initiated by the PNP WCPC-MFU under the leadership of PCOL MARIO M BAQUIRAN, JR, Acting Chief of the MFU, in collaboration with and with the active support of IJM, DSWD 10, CSWDO-Iligan City, and RIACAT/RATTF 10.

As part of the operation, law enforcement executed a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) no. 25-05, which enabled them to gather essential digital evidence to bolster the case against the perpetrator.

On the same day at approximately 6:00 PM, the Digital Forensic Examiner from RACU10 conducted an On-Site Digital Forensic Examination of the suspect's mobile phone, leading to the discovery of multiple Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEMs) and the subsequent arrest of the suspect for possession of CSAEM under R.A. No. 11930.

The Internet Crime Against Children Investigators of PNP WCPC-MFU carried out thorough online surveillance and cyber patrolling after identifying the Facebook account utilized by the suspect to offer minor victims in exchange for money.

The apprehended suspect, identified as Andres (a pseudonym), was found to be facilitating, producing, and distributing child sexual abuse exploitation materials (CSAEM) online.

This operation serves as a strong statement that the PNP WCPC-MFU, in conjunction with our partner agencies, will persistently pursue those who exploit children online. We remain dedicated to safeguarding our children from these abhorrent crimes and ensuring that offenders face justice.

The rescued victims have been placed under the protective custody of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO)-Iligan City for immediate assessment, evaluation, and intervention.

The WCPC operates a Facebook page that is accessible around the clock, allowing the community to report incidents of online sexual abuse and exploitation involving children.
