Only two Canadian provinces have not yet agreed to the federal childcare initiative, which offers services at a rate of $10 per day.

Saskatchewan is among these two provinces.

Today, Joan Pratchler, the NDP Shadow Minister for Childcare and Early Learning, conducted a press conference urging the government to promptly sign the childcare agreement.

Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party appear more interested in political maneuvering than in making childcare more affordable for families and safeguarding jobs in Saskatchewan. After 17 years in power, they seem fatigued and unwilling to fulfill their responsibilities.

Their focus does not seem to be on the future of Saskatchewan, where affordable childcare is a crucial element.
