An observer alerted the police, noting that the vehicle seemed to be leaking fluids. Upon investigation, officers discovered suspected methamphetamine, stolen items, and tools typically used for break-ins.

Coronation RCMP responded on Friday, March 7, and found the three men inside the truck, where they also uncovered stolen fuel belonging to the Town of Halkirk and various items taken from the ATCO site.

The men were arrested at the scene, with police seizing around 12 grams of suspected meth and various break-in tools alongside the stolen property.

Cory Davies, 48, and David Pierce, 50, both from Olds, along with 45-year-old Daniel Gravestock of Calgary, now face multiple charges, including:

- Possession of a controlled substance (suspected methamphetamine)
- Break and enter
- Mischief under $5,000 (two counts)
- Theft under $5,000
- Possession of stolen property (three counts under $5,000; one count over $5,000)
- Possession of break-and-enter tools

Additionally, Davies is charged with breaching probation, while both Pierce and Gravestock are charged with two counts of breaching their release orders.

After judicial hearings, Gravestock and Pierce were remanded in custody, with their next court appearances scheduled for March 10 and 11 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer. Davies has been released under certain conditions, with a court date set for March 14 in Coronation.
