Nineteen individuals identified as prolific and violent offenders with outstanding warrants were apprehended over a three-day period in northern Manitoba, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).

The operation commenced on February 25, involving multiple RCMP units in collaboration with officers from the Winnipeg Police Service, targeting the communities of Garden Hill, St. Theresa Point, and Wasagamack First Nations.

"The objectives established for our unit are straightforward," stated RCMP Sergeant James Ries.

"Our aim is to remove as many prolific and violent offenders from the streets as possible, thereby enhancing the safety of these communities.

"I believe we have successfully achieved this goal with the number of individuals apprehended. While there remains significant work ahead, we are prepared to meet the challenge."
