On March 2, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers from Wetaskiwin initiated a traffic stop on a black Ram 1500. During this encounter, law enforcement reportedly established sufficient grounds to detain the driver and three passengers.

Subsequently, a thorough search of the individuals and the vehicle was conducted, leading to the discovery and confiscation of 110 grams of fentanyl, 65.7 grams of methamphetamine, a loaded .22 caliber handgun, a loaded sawed-off .22 rifle, and a shotgun.

As a consequence, the individuals—47-year-old Cherry Hurd, 34-year-old Chavonne Crane, 38-year-old Jeremiah Klatt, and 40-year-old Daniel Johnson—are now facing multiple charges, including firearm-related offenses, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and involvement in a criminal organization for trafficking purposes.

All four suspects have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on March 4.
