British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the UK and France have agreed to work on a ceasefire plan for Ukraine, which will be presented to the United States. This initiative comes in the wake of a heated argument between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House. The plan aims to stop the fighting and ensure a lasting peace in Ukraine.

Starmer emphasized the importance of European unity and cooperation in supporting Ukraine and countering Russian aggression. He also highlighted the need for a strong U.S. backstop to guarantee the security of Ukraine and deter further Russian attacks.

The summit in London, which brought together European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, focused on finding a common approach to ending the conflict and strengthening European defense capabilities.
