In southwest Calgary, a toddler was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon and sent to the hospital. The incident occurred near the intersection of Millrise Drive S.W. and Millrise Hill S.W. just after 4 p.m. EMS verified that a youngster in a significant but stable, non-life-threatening condition was taken from the site to the hospital. According to the police, the car's driver stayed on the scene. As a result of the event and the investigation that followed, the intersection was temporarily closed.
