People from all areas of life in Alberta have contributed to the development of the beloved province that we know today. I had the chance to commemorate Black History Month with Albertans and Ministers Tanya Fir and Muhammad Yaseen last night at the McDougall Centre in Calgary. This event served as a reminder of the amazing contributions that Black people have made to the history, culture, and economy of our province. Black Albertans continue to have a significant influence, from pioneers like Violet King Henry and John Ware to current leaders, businesspeople, and artists. Our government is dedicated to making sure that everyone can still have opportunities in Alberta. Together, we can create a future that is even more resilient and affluent.
