MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is participating in the 46th Ordinary Session

The Honourable Nancy Tembo,  MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs, is  participating in the 46th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa,  Ethiopia.
The Honourable Tembo  was delegated by  H.E. Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, to lead the  Malawian delegation to the  session to be held from  15 to  16 February 2025.
The summit is being  held under the theme  "Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through  Reparations". Among other agenda items, the meeting will  discuss the  road map for  the implementation of the  2025 theme, the African Continental Free Trade Area, the humanitarian situation on the continent, food  security and health. Furthermore, it will also  lead to the election of the senior leadership of the African Union Commission.
