Affordable housing —  and especially the lack of it — and concerns  about the cost of living are among the three  main issues facing Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's Labor government ahead of  the Australian  election in late May. That's why  the plan to  build a  46-storey rental tower on an  overcrowded site in  the Sydney suburb of Parramatta  is so politically  significant. Albanese  believes projects  like this  one by Urban Property Group, a previously  unusual type of  housing, will help solve the  country's affordable housing crisis and  could be the key to his electoral  success.
