Calgary Conservative MP Stephanie Kusie is accusing federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault of corruption related to the so-called "green slush  fund."
On Friday, Kusie (Calgary Midnapore) said Guilbeault invested $254 million  in a company he  owns.
"This government is  not in compliance with  Parliament and  is not producing documents  related to this potentially corrupt activity,"  Kusie said in a social media  post.
"Canadians deserve answers and accountability from  the Liberal government that has been tainted by this  scandal. When will they hand  over the documents to the  GRC?"
Last week, the National Post reported that  Auditor General Karen Hogan  rejected a request from a House of Commons committee for another audit of the green slush fund, saying it  was unlikely to reveal anything new.
In a letter to the public accounts committee in October, Hogan said her office  had not  conducted the  "cost and performance audit" of  the Sustainable Development Technology  Corporation (SDTC) requested by the committee last month, the National  Post reported. Conservative MPs continue to  demand the release of  documents on the green slush  fund.
"After nine years, this NDP-Liberal government is not worth  it," Kusie  told the House on Friday.
"The  Minister of the Environment invested $254 million in a company he owns. The government continues to hide the documents. The green  slush fund is against the interests of this  House."
Liberal MP Karina Gould (Burlington) responded to  Kusie by accusing  him of dishonesty. She said the federal government  had already  provided all the documents requested by the  House.
"We did  it in a way that  respected the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms,"  Gould said. "The Conservative Party  itself is blocking  the work of this  House." On this side of the  House, we respect democracy. We respect the rights of Canadians and we respect the authority of the police."
RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheme is concerned that some of the  documents from the green slush fund sent to  the force at the House's behest are  "beyond the normal reach of investigators, putting the force in  a difficult legal grey  area," the National  Post reported. The charges against Guilbeault have not been proven in  court.
