The fact that oil and gas pipelines were one of the main subjects of conversation between Prime Minister @justintrudeau and incoming President @realDonaldTrump is telling. It shows once more how our country's commitment to giving the US the gas and oil it needs to meet its energy security and affordability targets is closely linked to the development of a robust economic and security partnership with the US. Thus, we once again urge the Prime Minister to scrap the Canadian oil and gas production cap right away, work with Alberta and all other provinces to secure the border against illegal migrants and drugs, and—most importantly—start building more pipeline infrastructure between Canada and the United States.
