In order to handle a situation involving Taiwan and China, the United States and Japan will include the missile units' deployment in their first joint action plan. According to U.S. military procedures for sending Marines in small formations to many locations, temporary bases will be established on populated islands of the island chain as soon as a Taiwan contingency becomes extremely likely.
