Plants emit VOCs from their leaves, flowers, and roots. These emissions can be constitutive, or they can be induced by biotic or abiotic stresses, such as herbivory or high temperatures. VOCs can play a role in protecting plant tissues, attracting or repelling other organisms, and allelopathic interactions. Lack of carbon dioxide for the living plants which leads to low oxygen for human beings.
