FIFA President Applauds Dikko's Appointment to the NSC

Malam Shehu Dikko's ability to succeed in his role as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission of Nigeria has been affirmed by Gianni Infantino, President of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).

"I am confident that my knowledge, experience, passion, and personal qualities will have a significant impact in the discharge of his duties," the FIFA President said in a congratulatory note signed by Infantino and given to Dikko on Thursday, October 31.

Infantino offered Dikko "best of luck and every success" in his assignment, pointing out that the public is already quite pleased with his selection.

The reason FIFA and Infantino have faith in Dikko is because of his contributions to international sports, including participation in the IFAB-FIFA Experts Panel in 2020 and membership in the FIFA Stakeholders Committee since 2017.

Since 2016, Dikko has been the longest-serving member of the Club Licencing Committee and the Confederation of Africa Football Organising Committee on Inter-Clubs Competitions.
