🦮 Harnett, the explosive detection police service dog (PSD) of Metro Vancouver Transit Police (@TransitPolice), was in Calgary a few weeks ago as part of the Canadian Police Canine Association (@cpca_k9events) trials, an annual gathering where law enforcement canine teams from all over the nation gather to put their skills to the test.

The two-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, PSD Harnett, was named in honour of Calgary Police Service Sergeant Andrew Harnett, who was killed on New Year's Eve in 2020 while performing his duties.

This photo shows PSD Harnett in front of Sgt. Harnett's memorial, which is situated in District 5, the northeastern part of the city where Sgt. Harnett was employed.
