Money laundering allegations against a Binance executive are dropped by the Nigerian government.

The money laundering accusations made against Tigran Gambaryan, an official of Binance Holdings Limited, have been dropped by the federal government.

According to the DAILY POST, Gambaryan and cryptocurrency company Binance were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in April of this year on charges of money laundering.

After the cryptocurrency company was clamped down for allegedly manipulating naira, Mr. Gambaryan, a U.S. citizen, has been detained since February.

At the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, an attorney for the EFCC declared that the charges had been dropped.

The attorney made the announcement and claimed that Mr. Gambaryan was only a Binance employee, for which he was being charged.
