Under a program for students "who have experienced major life hurdles, such as educational disadvantage, economic hardship, or disability," Kamala Harris was accepted to law school.

Although Kamala Harris's mother was from the highest caste in India, her daughter was disproportionately disadvantaged because her mother moved to the United States and Canada, earned a distinguished degree, married a future Stanford professor, had a prosperous career as a cancer researcher, and sent her daughter to private schools.

It's odd how that operates.
