We have finally completed our search for any indications of missing persons along the banks of the Bow River.

The Bow River area was searched from Stoney Trail in the north to Carseland in the south by about 75 search teams from various agencies, including the Calgary Police Service, Calgary Fire Department, RCMP, Calgary Search and Rescue Association, Cochrane Fire Services, Alberta Forestry and Parks, and Community Safety Peace Officers. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and TransAlta were other partners.

Despite the fact that today's search yielded no human remains, our Missing Persons Team is unwavering in their resolve to locate every missing individual. The search's conclusion today does not mean that these inquiries are over; rather, It gives investigators useful information to help them refocus their efforts. We will keep looking for answers for the families of all missing persons, and every unresolved missing person case is still underway.

We would like to express our gratitude to all of the partner agencies that helped with today's search, especially those who gave of their own time to support our efforts. Investigators are now one step closer to locating missing Calgarians as a result of their commitment to our community. Not a valid attachment ID.Not a valid attachment ID.Not a valid attachment ID.Not a valid attachment ID.
