The government of Alberta is dedicated to promoting the #SkilledTrades. It gave me great pleasure to be in Halifax yesterday to carry on with our work creating practical strategies to support apprenticeships and skilled trades. I went to the immersive and engaging Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council crafts (@NSCSC_ICI) Exhibition Hall, where young people throughout the province may try their hand at a variety of skilled crafts. The Building Trades Advancement College (BTAC), which provides industry-led training in association with 13 Building Trades Unions, was also given a tour by me.

I had a meeting with @jillbalser, the Minister of Labour, Skills, and Immigration for Nova Scotia, when I was in Halifax. We spoke about how we can collaborate to accelerate the growth of skilled trades opportunities and awareness in both Alberta and Nova Scotia, where Minister Balser and her team have been working hard to do excellent work. As we work to optimize opportunities for Albertans, I'm looking forward to our ongoing collaboration!
