This appeal was made in Abuja on Thursday, September 11, 2025, during the "You Against Crime Festival," an event organized by You Against Crime International (YACI). Represented by Aisha Muhammed, Assistant Commander of the EFCC and Head of the Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit, Olukoyede emphasized the significant role that mothers and women can play in the fight against cybercrime, calling on them to unite with the EFCC in this endeavor. "Mothers and women are vital in all that we undertake, and they can apply this influence in the battle against corruption and cybercrime. We are addressing cultural aspects and must return to parenting. The EFCC promotes initiatives like Integrity Clubs in primary and secondary schools and the Zero Tolerance Club in universities and colleges to engage young people early in this fight. "We also have Women Against Corruption due to the essential roles that mothers and women fulfill in society. Parenting is fundamental to our culture. Parents should be vigilant, know their children's friends, and stay involved in their lives. Do not leave your children to the society alone," he remarked. Tayo Florunsho, the president and organizer of the event, stated that the aim of the program was to identify solutions to the various crimes affecting society and to collaborate on resolving these issues. "We are here to work together to ensure that students and youths understand how they can contribute to the efforts of security agencies. We cannot tackle this alone; we are here to discuss ways to offer solutions instead of merely complaining," he commented. He called on all stakeholders to participate in the fight against corruption and financial crimes. Adebayo Benjamin Laniyi, the Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs at the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), highlighted the need for collective action in addressing financial crimes
