Akpabio acknowledged the improvements in accountability, integrity, and transparency within the EFCC, highlighting the commission's progress in anti-corruption efforts. She expressed the SSDC's interest in collaborating with the EFCC, participating in its initiatives and training programs to ensure compliance in their operations and contribute to the region's integrity. This move is expected to strengthen the partnership between the two organizations and promote a culture of transparency and accountability in the region.

Larry Odey, a member of the SSDC board representing Cross River State, also commended Olukoyede's leadership, describing his tenure as a turning point that signifies a new era. He noted the efforts made to maintain integrity and encouraged Olukoyede and his team to continue their work in transforming society. The SSDC's recognition of the EFCC's efforts is a testament to the commission's dedication to fighting corruption and promoting good governance.

In response, Olukoyede welcomed the SSDC delegation and emphasized the importance of integrity, accountability, and transparency in their initiatives. He reminded Akpabio and her team that their roles are a commitment to serve the people of the region and urged them to start making a meaningful impact immediately. Olukoyede expressed concern over the poverty in the area despite its resources and referenced projects funded through recovered funds from the EFCC aimed at improving conditions in the region.

To ensure transparency and accountability, Olukoyede advised the SSDC to identify key areas for their initiatives and manage any funding accessed in a transparent manner. He also encouraged the team to create a website for accountability and share information publicly to build a legacy of transparency and integrity. The EFCC's willingness to collaborate with the SSDC is a positive step towards promoting good governance and fighting corruption in the region. By working together, both organizations can make a significant impact in improving the lives of the people in the region.
