Good morning, everyone. I am thrilled to be here today, surrounded by esteemed members of the Alberta Carpenters Union and other distinguished guests. We have gathered to discuss our plan to build a strong and prosperous Canada, and I am honored to share our vision with you.

At the heart of our plan is the empowerment of Canadians to think big and build for the future. The rapidly changing global landscape demands that we act decisively and focus on what we can control – building strong communities and making smart investments that deliver real results.

Since taking office, we have been dedicated to strengthening our economy. In our first 100 days, we passed legislation to reduce internal trade barriers, and we have launched the Major Projects Office to streamline the process of getting big projects built across Alberta, the Prairies, and the entire country.

The establishment of this new office, headquartered right here in Alberta, is a testament to our commitment to this province and its people. It will help create certainty and efficiency in the project development process, allowing us to build the infrastructure we need to drive economic growth and create good-paying jobs.

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the women and men who are building Canada, including those represented by the Alberta Carpenters Union. Your skills, expertise, and commitment to excellence are essential to our success, and we are grateful for your partnership.

As we move forward, we will continue to work closely with indigenous peoples, provincial and territorial governments, and local authorities to ensure that our projects are built in a way that respects the rights and interests of all Canadians.

Our goal is to create a brighter future for our country, a future where every Canadian has access to good-paying jobs, affordable housing, and a high quality of life. We will achieve this by investing in the infrastructure we need to support economic growth, by promoting Canadian products and services, and by building strong, resilient communities.

We are proud to announce the first set of projects that will be supported by the Major Projects Office. These projects, including the LNG Canada Phase 2 expansion, the Darlington New Nuclear Phase 1 project, and several critical minerals projects, will generate billions of dollars in economic activity, create tens of thousands of high-paying jobs, and help us build a more sustainable and prosperous future.

We are committed to moving quickly and efficiently to get these projects built, and we will work tirelessly to ensure that they are completed on time and on budget. We will also continue to engage with Canadians, listening to their ideas and concerns, and working together to build a better future for our country.

In conclusion, I want to thank you again for joining us today. I am excited about the future of our country and the role that each and every one of you will play in building it. Let us work together to create a brighter future for Canada, a future where every Canadian can thrive and succeed. Thank you.
