Prime Minister Mark Carney and premier of Newfoundland and Labrador had a constructive discussion regarding the significant opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador. With our nation-building projects such as the Churchill River MOU and Bay du Nord, along with strong potential in mining and clean energy, we are fostering local economic growth.

It was a pleasure to welcome Prime Minister Mark Carney back to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Our province presents substantial opportunities, and by collaborating with our federal partners, we can look forward to a promising future.

I appreciate Prime Minister Carney's ongoing support for Newfoundland and Labrador.

Today, we unveiled a work of art by Charlene Rumbolt, which celebrates the culture and heritage of the NunatuKavut people. This piece will be displayed in the east block lobby of Confederation Building for public viewing.

This sixth and final artwork unveiling marks the completion of a collaborative project between the Provincial Government and Indigenous Governments and Organizations, which acknowledges the traditions and narratives of Indigenous peoples that continue to influence our province.

The Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador recently met with Prime Minister Mark Carney in St. John's and engaged with We Are Energy NL to discuss the future of energy in the province.

They expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister's support for local businesses as they navigate tariff-related challenges and explore new opportunities. Atlantic Canadians play an important role in representing Canada to international trade partners.

In response to trade pressures and uncertainty, the new government of Canada is introducing initiatives to support Atlantic Canadian workers and businesses in pursuing a prosperous future.

Additionally, he visited Quidi Vidi Brewery and recognized their hospitality.
