Artificial intelligence presents a unique opportunity for Europe.

For Europe to fully leverage AI, it is essential for the technology to be integrated into industrial processes. Companies facing challenges in deploying AI should focus on identifying specific business issues that it can address. Additionally, well-structured regulations can facilitate the adoption of application-layer AI.

AI has transitioned from a future promise to a central technology of our time. Manufacturers are now seeking solutions that provide measurable results and quick returns on investment, rather than just pilot projects.

For Europe's industrial sector, AI presents a critical opportunity to regain strategic independence, enhance competitiveness, and lead in innovation—qualities that have diminished in some areas over the past twenty years. If Europe does not adopt AI decisively, this opportunity may be missed.

The World Economic Forum estimates that AI could contribute up to $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030, with a significant portion attributed to productivity improvements. European manufacturers, responsible for around 15% of the EU's GDP, have the potential to increase their contribution significantly by taking the lead in this transformation.
