REPORT: It appears that Israel stopped the Taiwanese pagers that were going to blow up thousands of Hezbollah militants' pockets before they could reach Lebanon.

The New York Times claims that Israel interfered with the equipment that Hezbollah had ordered.

According to reports, they positioned two ounces of explosive material close to each pager's battery.

"A switch was also embedded that could be triggered remotely to detonate the explosives," according to the Times.

At 3:30 p.m. Lebanon time, fighters with Hezbollah received a communication that appeared to be from the organization's leadership.

There was a momentary silence when the message arrived, probably so the combatants could lift the pagers up to their faces before going off.

Nine persons were k*lled and over 2,800 people were injured.
