Tinubu's state visit: Nigeria and Brazil to sign a memorandum of understanding

The Federal Republic of Nigeria is preparing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federative Republic of Brazil regarding a Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) aimed at enabling direct flights. Mr. Obafemi Bajomo, Special Adviser on Foreign Direct Investments to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, made this announcement in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja.

Bajomo stated that the final documents and instruments related to the BASA are ready for exchange and execution with Brazilian authorities during President Bola Tinubu's visit to Brazil.

NAN reports that Tinubu departed Abuja on August 15 for a working visit to Japan and Brazil.

According to a statement from the Presidency, Tinubu will take part in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), scheduled to take place in Yokohama from August 20 to August 22.
