Premier Minister:Alberta's primary trading partner is the United States

Alberta's primary trading partner is the United States. Last year, we exported more than $162 billion, with 82% of that figure coming from energy products.

Currently, the National Conference of State Legislators is happening in Boston, and I'm thankful for the presence of Speaker Ric McIver and MLAs Glenn Van Dijken, Chelsea Petrovic, and Nolan Dyck. They are there to emphasize to U.S. leaders the importance of open and tariff-free trade for the prosperity of both our economies.
