Calgary Police Service Lays Charge in Erin Woods Break and Enter Incident

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at approximately 1:10 p.m., a disturbing incident occurred in the southeast community of Erin Woods, Calgary. A man allegedly broke into a residence located in the 0 to 100 block of Erin Woods Boulevard S.E. and assaulted a female resident. The situation escalated when a physical altercation ensued between the suspect and a second resident, a male victim.

Thanks to the prompt action of nearby residents who witnessed the incident and contacted the authorities, one man was taken into custody when police arrived at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Benjamin Ronald Lane JOHNSON, 30, has been charged with one count of break and enter with intent to commit assault. JOHNSON is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, August 29, 2025.
