As Alberta celebrates its highest employment gains across Canada in June, the clock is ticking for our nation to take action on nation-building projects that will further solidify our economic future. Northern Ontario, a vital region for our province's growth, is ripe with opportunities and challenges that require immediate attention.

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting with municipal and community leaders across the North to discuss their economic priorities, challenges, and opportunities. These engagements are crucial in informing our government's plan to build a stronger, more self-reliant, and resilient economy that benefits every region of the province.

As Danielle Smith's Environment Minister so aptly put it, "the clock is ticking" for our Prime Minister to take concrete action on the promises made to Alberta. We cannot afford to be treated as an ATM for the rest of Canada, providing financial support without receiving fair representation and consideration in return.

Albertans are stepping up to demand change, and it's time for our Prime Minister to put his money where his mouth is. We urge the federal government to work closely with provinces like Alberta to unlock our full economic potential and create a brighter future for all Canadians.
