NLC President Joe Ajaero is Arrested by DSS at Abuja Airport

Joe Ajaero, the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), was arrested by agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, according to information obtained by News360 Nigeria.

According to reports, Ajaero was detained as he was getting ready to board a plane for a formal duty in the United Kingdom.

Though the circumstances surrounding his detention are still unknown, he has reportedly been turned over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for additional scrutiny, according to sources.

Ajaero was supposed to attend today's Trade Union Congress (TUC) session in the United Kingdom.
