The sequence of events began when RCMP officers in The Pas conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and found open liquor within it. Further investigation led to the discovery of a substance believed to be cocaine, an extendable baton, and bear mace. During the search, a substantial amount of contraband was found, including several firearms, airsoft guns, a crossbow, body armor, and various types of illicit pills. Additionally, drug-related paraphernalia was confiscated from the premises.

Three individuals were taken into custody: a 30-year-old male and a 27-year-old female from The Pas, and a 36-year-old female from Opaskwayak Cree Nation. They are currently being held in police custody as the investigation progresses and charges are being prepared.

The RCMP are continuing to work on the case and are expected to provide further details and potential charges as they become available. The community is reminded that the investigation is ongoing, and any information that could assist the authorities is appreciated.
