Eau Claire Plaza is now officially open! ✨🌿 This beautifully redesigned area is part of a broader initiative aimed at making downtown Calgary more accessible, connected, and vibrant for all.

💫 I was thrilled to see the iconic 1988 Olympic arch—an enduring symbol of our city's resilience and spirit. This design seamlessly integrates with the Eau Claire Market redevelopment, the Downtown Flood Barrier, Eau Claire Promenade, and the replacement of the Jaipur Bridge, showcasing the extensive efforts made to improve safety, connectivity, and community spaces. The plaza is equipped for year-round activities, flexible gatherings, and large-scale festivals. It came alive with Mexifest 💃, and I'm excited about upcoming events like Fiestaval (July 18–20) and Fiesta Filipino (Aug 29 to Sept 1), as we continue to celebrate Calgary's diversity and collective spirit.
