In addition to the ongoing party registration process, INEC has also released Supplementary Regulations and Guidelines for the Review of Election Results. These new guidelines provide clear procedures and timelines for the review of any declarations or returns made under duress or in violation of electoral laws, as empowered by Section 65 of the Electoral Act 2022. This move is aimed at ensuring the credibility and integrity of the electoral process by allowing for the reversal of election results that were declared involuntarily or in breach of the established rules and regulations.

The Commission has uploaded the supplementary regulations and guidelines to its website and other platforms for public access and information. The INEC's commitment to transparency and adherence to the law in handling political party registrations and election reviews is a significant step towards conducting fair and credible elections in the country.
