Gov. Seyi pay tribute to His Excellency Dr. Victor Omololu Sowemimo Olunloyo

On Monday, we participated in the Interdenominational Commendation Service to pay tribute to His Excellency Dr. Victor Omololu Sowemimo Olunloyo, the former Governor of Oyo State, held at the Obafemi Awolowo (Liberty) Stadium in Ibadan.

As I mentioned in my speech, our gathering was not solely for mourning, but rather to celebrate His Excellency. We came together to reflect not only on a life that was well-lived but also on a life that has left significant and lasting marks on the history of Oyo State — and indeed, on that of Nigeria.

In tribute to him, I declared that we would be renaming The Ibadan Polytechnic, where he held the position of the first Rector, to the Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic, Ibadan.
