Governor-General of Australia, Quentin Bryce, visited her alma mater, Narrabunda

The Governor-General of Australia, Quentin Bryce, visited her alma mater, Narrabundah College in Canberra, where she completed her senior high school education. The school, which is known for its cultural diversity with 61 languages spoken among the student body, aligns with her own values of discovery, development, and excellence. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by Principal Megan Altenburg and the student representatives India, Lachlan, Kimiya, and Minh.

During her visit, the Governor-General took part in various activities including a sharing circle with International Baccalaureate students, attended the school assembly, and presented awards to French Baccalaureate students. In a playful twist, she was "Governor-General-napped" by drama students dressed as pirates who escorted her to a preview of their upcoming production of "Treasure Island," which was set to run from August 7th to 9th.

Reflecting on her time at the college, she mentioned her involvement in the student representative council and expressed her gratitude for the school's role in shaping her into the person she is today. She never anticipated returning as the Governor-General and praised the institution for providing a solid foundation for her future. The visit served as a testament to the school's commitment to fostering global citizens and creating memorable experiences for its students.
