Middle East: Trump calls on Hamas to agree to ceasefire proposal

US President Donald Trump announced that Israel has consented to finalize the conditions of a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza and urged the militant organization Hamas to accept a proposal developed with the assistance of mediators from Qatar and Egypt.

Trump stated that if Israel and Hamas implement a temporary ceasefire, this period would be utilized to seek a permanent resolution to the conflict in Gaza.
