The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have confiscated a large amount of vodka in Fox Lake, Alberta, after pulling over a truck with a license plate belonging to a deceased person. The incident occurred on a weekend morning when the officers noticed a mismatched license plate on the pick-up truck. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the vehicle was not properly registered or insured, and the driver was operating without a valid driver's license.

During the search of the vehicle, authorities discovered two large duffle bags containing 124 unopened bottles of Red Tassel Vodka. The estimated street value of the alcohol is approximately $9,920. The driver of the truck was issued three citations under the Traffic Safety Act.

The RCMP have not released any details regarding the driver or the source of the alcohol, but have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
