Prime Minister Rabuka to Make a High-Level Visit to Australia

Prime Minister Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka is at the helm of a Fijian delegation during a high-level visit to Australia this week, reaffirming the ongoing commitment to strengthening the revitalized Vuvale Partnership between Fiji and Australia.

Invited by the Australian Government, the Prime Minister will engage in high-level discussions, including a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Sam Mostyn, the Governor-General. His itinerary includes tours of several prominent Australian institutions and sites that highlight the deep-seated historical and strategic connection between the two countries. During the visit, focus will also be placed on enhancing border and port capabilities, deepening security collaboration, and reinforcing regional unity in support of a safe, stable, and resilient Blue Pacific. In addition, PM Rabuka plans to connect with the Fijian diaspora in Canberra and Brisbane, showcasing the Coalition Government's commitment to engaging with Fijians overseas and recognizing their vital contributions to both Fiji and Australia. Accompanying the Prime Minister are Minister for Home Affairs Hon. Pio Tikoduadua, Minister for Immigration Hon. Viliame Naupoto, Minister for Policing Hon. Ioane Naivalurua, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Dr. Lesi Korovavala, Permanent Secretary for Civil Service, Public Enterprises Mr. Amena Yauvoli, and Deputy Commander of the RFMF, Commodore Humphrey Tawake.
