Eight initial attack teams and a large airtanker have been deployed to the Yukon by BC Wildfire Service to aid in wildfire management efforts. Yukon can seek support from external agencies via the Northwest Compact, a resource-sharing agreement that encompasses five U.S. states and five provinces, or through the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre.
