The Fijian government has allocated funds to support six community-based organizations in the Central Division and one in the Eastern Division through the Multi-Ethnic Grant Program.

The $228,275 disbursed is intended for various projects including solar power, learning and development, and the upgrade of the Levuka Cemetery. This is the program's second round of funding, following the first round's distribution of $1.48 million aimed at fostering social cohesion and leveraging diversity. The Minister for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, Hon. Charan Jeath Singh, highlighted the importance of the program in empowering communities and enhancing service delivery. He assured that the Ministry will continue to monitor the progress of these projects for accountability.
