Poland election: Polls have commenced in a closely contested presidential runoff.

Poles are faced with a choice between pro-EU and nationalist candidates.


Poles will make a decision between Rafal Trzaskowski, the pro-EU mayor of Warsaw, and Karol Nawrocki, the nationalist historian.
Opinion polls indicate a competitive race, with Nawrocki at 50.1% and Trzaskowski at 49.9%.
Trzaskowski secured a narrow victory in the first round of voting on May 18.
The outcome could have significant consequences for Poland, a member of NATO and the European Union.
