Ms. Vinaina Diroiroi has been appointed as a Resident Magistrate in Fiji, marking an important step in her legal career.

She was sworn in by President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu at the State House, with Chief Justice Salesi Temo, Chief Registrar Tomasi Bainivalu, and Acting Chief Magistrate Josaia Waqaivolavola in attendance. Before her appointment, Ms. Diroiroi gained experience as a Legal Officer at Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd and its subsidiary, Fiji Ships and Heavy Industries Limited, and as a senior legal officer and Officer-in-Charge at the Legal Aid Commission. She holds a Bachelor of Law Degree and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of the South Pacific, as well as a Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Fiji. This appointment highlights the continued efforts to strengthen Fiji's judiciary.
