This morning, we attended the 157th Joint Tax Board Meeting in Ibadan. As I mentioned in my address, the timing of this meeting is crucial as we strive to enhance our tax systems to be more efficient and effective without placing excessive burdens on taxpayers in Oyo State.

Our administration will persist in bolstering the capabilities of the Internal Revenue Service to manage compliance more effectively, with compassion and fairness. The future of taxation—particularly concerning the informal sector—hinges on our ability to strike a balance between enforcement and understanding.
