Bell Canada is currently facing a significant outage with over 130,000 users reporting issues as of 9:30 a.m. EDT on May 21, 2025. This outage is affecting various services provided by the telecommunications giant, with the majority of the complaints concerning landline internet access.

Downdetector, a third-party service that tracks outages, has revealed that 61 percent of the affected users are dealing with problems specifically related to their landline internet service. Additionally, 11 percent have reported issues with mobile internet, while 28 percent have claimed to be experiencing a "total blackout," which presumably means they are unable to access any Bell Canada services.

Bell Support has acknowledged the situation via social media, confirming that some customers in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec are encountering an internet service interruption. The company is working diligently to resolve the issue and restore service as quickly as possible.

Given the scale of the outage, it is likely that many individuals and businesses in the affected regions are experiencing disruptions to their daily activities, emphasizing the importance of reliable internet connectivity in today's digital world. It remains to be seen what caused the outage and how long it will take for Bell Canada to fully restore service to its customers.
