Welcome to Houston Africa Day 2025! This is an annual event celebrating the rich culture, diversity, and achievements of the African continent. The day is filled with vibrant performances, insightful discussions, and delicious cuisine that highlights the best of Africa. Join us as we come together to honor our shared heritage and look toward a bright future of collaboration and unity.

**Event Schedule:**

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Opening Ceremony
- African Parade of Nations with traditional attire and music
- Welcome speeches from local dignitaries and community leaders
- Cultural presentation by the Houston African Diaspora

12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Food Festival
- Sample dishes from various African countries at our food stalls
- Live cooking demonstrations from top African chefs
- African marketplace showcasing unique art, crafts, and goods

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Performing Arts Showcase
- Live music from both local and international African artists
- Dance performances ranging from traditional to contemporary styles
- Storytelling and poetry recitals that capture the essence of African heritage

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Interactive Workshops
- Learn about African history, art, and traditions in our interactive workshops
- Engage in discussions about African business opportunities and innovation
- Participate in a drumming circle or try your hand at traditional African games

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM: Fashion Show
- A showcase of the latest African fashion trends and designs
- Models walking the runway with style and grace
- Opportunity to meet designers and purchase exclusive pieces

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Closing Concert & Fireworks Display
- Featured performances by renowned African artists and Houston's own talented musicians
- A grand finale of fireworks lighting up the sky in the colors of the African Union flag

Throughout the day, there will be various cultural booths representing different African countries, offering information, art, and activities. There will also be a kids' zone with face painting, games, and educational activities to keep the little ones engaged and learning about Africa.

Free for all ages, donations are appreciated to support African cultural programs in Houston.
